This is a forward-thinking Training Practice that has rethought how general practice should work, and it shows in how long people stay. The practice is based north of Basingstoke, Hampshire, in an area with good local schools and an active community. Basingstoke has excellent road links via the M3 and fast trains to London Waterloo, with Reading (around 25 minutes), Farnborough (around 25 minutes) and Winchester (around 30 minutes) all an easy drive away.

The Practice GP Training Practice Large, digitally forward practice with a large partnership team and a large salaried GP team Broad multidisciplinary team including ANPs, FCPs, clinical pharmacists, a frailty nurse and a mental health support worker

Dedicated MDT with the local hospital and a monthly paediatric hub with a specialist consultant

Your Role4-6 sessions per week
15-minute appointments, with 12 booked appointments and protected follow-up slots

Virtually no home visits, thanks to a dedicated home-visiting team Typically one triage session and one on-call ‘float’ session per week, with a hard cap on contacts

No evening/weekend working

Minimal clinical correspondence given majority has been outsourced

Daily coffee break and lunch together

Specialist interests and portfolio careers supported

Salary and Benefits
11,000 per session for newly qualified GPs, rising to 11,500 after six months
12,000 per session for established GPsBMA model contractNHS Pension6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)1 week study leave (pro rata)
You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
