Year 6 Class Teacher Job.

This school is based in a small rural town between Andover and Basingstoke. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 2 (Year
6) Class Teacher to join our school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on the learning and development of primary school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, creating an engaging learning environment, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential. Planning is already in place and the school is looking for a teacher to commit to the delivery of lessons.

This is a temporary job from February 2026 initially until the end of the academic year. Ideally this school is looking for someone that can commit to full time. This job has become available due to maternity leave within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver effective lessons that meet the national curriculum guidelines for Year 6
Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with specific educational needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' overall development.
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2.
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative working style
