Electrical Engineering Lecturer

• Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our Engineering Department. This role is crucial for the continued improvement of our department's progress and achievement measures. The successful candidate will deliver both theory and practical lessons on Level 3 and/or Level 4 Electrical Engineering programmes and lead development in enterprise and employability activities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deliver learning and undertake assessment on a range of programmes, ensuring the success of your learners.
• Act as Course Owner, developing and producing learning and assessment materials.
• Enhance learners' experiences by providing a range of enterprise activities both in the college and in the community.
• Ensure that employability and employer engagement activities are embedded into the programmes.
• Participate in course teams and lead such teams as required.
• Undertake administrative duties and ensure compliance with all college policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, and Equality & Diversity.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent vocationally relevant qualification.
• Relevant vocational qualification to Level 3.
• DTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• GCSE grade A
  -C in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in a range of vocationally relevant applications.
• Experience in teaching up to and including Level 3, with assessment experience.

• Good time management skills, calm, confident, and of smart appearance.
• Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and to motivate others.
