SEMH Teacher - Alternative Provision
Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate, resilient, and fully qualified SEMH Teacher to join an Alternative Provision based in Basingstoke. This setting supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who require a highly supportive and adapted learning environment. The school is looking for someone who is not only confident in delivering high-quality teaching, but who is genuinely invested in changing young peoples lives.
This is a temp-to-perm agreement, as the school is looking for the right person to commit long-term and make a lasting impact within the provision. The Role: Teach a small cohort of students with SEMH needs Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs Build strong, trusting relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or significant disruption Create a predictable, safe, and nurturing learning environment Use restorative and therapeutic behaviour approaches Work collaboratively with pastoral staff, SENCOs, mentors, and therapists Support students to re-engage with education and build resilience, confidence, and life skills Ideal Candidate: QTS Essential Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or complex needs Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people Creative in their approach and confident adapting learning Committed to a long-term role within an alternative provision Contract Details: Position: SEMH Teacher

Hours:
