SEN Teachers / Teaching Assistants (Part-Time, Monday Friday)
Location: Acorn Wood School
Hours: 09 00 (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive hourly rate

The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for students who require tailored support to help them achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on young people s lives and who thrive in a supportive, team-focused environment.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Assist in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities

  • Support students emotional regulation and social development

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment

  • Contribute to behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, or support settings)

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • An understanding of additional needs such as ASD, SEMH, or learning difficulties (desirable but not essential)

  • A willingness to learn and adapt to individual student needs

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
