Exciting Opportunity for an ASD TA - Basingstoke

A friendly and inclusive school in Basingstoke is looking to appoint a dedicated ASD TA to support pupils with autism and help them flourish both academically and personally. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives.

The successful ASD TA will play an important role in supporting pupils' learning, wellbeing, and social development, working within a nurturing and supportive school environment.

The Role

As an ASD TA, you will provide tailored support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them engage with lessons, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and the SENCO to ensure every pupil receives the guidance they need to succeed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is committed to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism
Assist with personalised learning and behaviour support plans
Work in partnership with teaching staff and the SENCO
Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interactions
Support pupils' emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

About You

The ideal ASD TA will be compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs.

You will have:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible approach
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A genuine passion for SEND and inclusive education
Previous experience supporting children with autism (preferred but not essential)
