Behaviour Mentor - Basingstoke

Location: Basingstoke
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 85 - 105 per day

A welcoming and supportive school in Basingstoke is seeking a committed Behaviour mentor to join their pastoral team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient and enthusiastic Behaviour mentor who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and develop positive attitudes towards school.

The successful Behaviour mentor will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them stay engaged, regulated, and focused throughout the school day.

Role Overview

As a Behaviour mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with behavioural needs by building strong, trusting relationships and providing consistent guidance. You will help create a calm, structured, and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Behaviour mentor to make a meaningful difference within a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted interventions and support as a Behaviour mentor for pupils with behavioural challenges
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and individual support plans
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support pupil progress
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
