Are you an SEN teacher looking for a long‑term position from September? Primary and secondary SEN schools and specialist provisions across Basingstoke and North Hampshire are seeking dedicated and compassionate teachers to join their teams on a long‑term basis for unpublished vacancies.

Students Supported- Have autism spectrum conditions with communication or sensory differences
- Experience moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Have speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN)
- Have Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and experience challenging behaviour
- Need support with social interaction and understanding social cues
- Have cognitive delays affecting processing and memory
- Experience sensory overload or benefit from structured regulation strategies
- Feel anxious around change, transitions, or unfamiliar situations
Consistency, structure, and a nurturing approach are key to supporting pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and therapists
- Use visual supports, communication systems, and sensory strategies
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support development
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
- Support behaviour positively using consistent strategies
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, reports, and wider school life
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

Full‑time (part‑time may be considered in some settings) - Salary: MPS/UPS, with SEN allowance where applicable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
