Maths Teacher (QTS Essential) – Secondary Specialist Setting (ASC)

Location: Village near Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week

We are looking for a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS essential) to join a specialist secondary setting supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). As our Maths Teacher, you will teach secondary-aged students up to GCSE level, delivering engaging and accessible lessons that enable students to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their academic goals.

You will work as part of a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team, with the time and flexibility to adapt teaching approaches and create positive learning experiences for every student.

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons up to GCSE level
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning, communication, and sensory needs
• Monitor progress and support students to achieve their full potential
• Build positive and consistent relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Promote confidence, resilience, independence, and emotional wellbeing
• Contribute to a nurturing and ambitious school community

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications without QTS cannot be considered
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
• Confidence delivering GCSE Maths
• Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
• A patient, adaptable, and student-centred approach
• Due to rural location, access to own transport will be important

Desirable

• Experience with in specialist education, SEND, or ASC provision
• Knowledge of EHCPs and differentiated teaching strategies
• Experience supporting students with social communication differences
