About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across the age range, fostering critical thinking, computational skills, and creativity. You will contribute to a wide-ranging programme that includes coding, digital projects, and enrichment activities central to school life.

You will join a department that values innovation, high standards of teaching, and student engagement, while maintaining a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Computer Science across KS3-KS5, including GCSE and A-Level classes.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that develop programming, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum design, resources, and enrichment activities such as coding clubs, competitions, and digital projects.
  • Support students in developing collaborative, analytical, and independent learning skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in STEM, ICT, and across the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Recognised teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for computing, coding, and digital innovation.
  • Ability to inspire and support pupils of all abilities.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
