Teacher of Music

Our Music Department is a creative and well-resourced environment where students are encouraged to explore music through performing, composing and music technology.

Students have access to a dedicated Mac Suite with Garage Band, as well as a Keyboard Room for developing their practical musicianship and musical understanding. The department also benefits from dedicated studio space and practice rooms, providing students with opportunities to rehearse, record, compose and develop their confidence as musicians.

Our curriculum embraces a wide range of instruments and musical styles, including ukulele, djembes and samba percussion, giving students the opportunity to experience diverse musical traditions and develop a broad range of practical skills.

At GCSE, we follow the Eduqas Music specification, supporting students in developing their performing, composing and listening and appraising skills.

There is a strong sense of community within the school and a real desire amongst staff to grow and develop our teaching and provision. We are committed to ensuring a truly inclusive, enjoyable and successful school environment for all children. Every student has a place in our school and the team are committed to high standards and expectations in every aspect of our work.
