Lead Mechanical Design Engineer – RSE

RSE invites a permanent Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to champion projects across England, driving low‑carbon design solutions and ensuring strict compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.

• Consult with clients to understand specific intervention requirements.
• Plan and implement projects in collaboration with Delivery Management teams.
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical matters to project teams and senior management.
• Lead the development of mechanical design deliverables.
• Mentor emerging engineering talent and contribute to the next generation of EICA Engineering professionals.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.

• Mechanical design engineering experience within the municipal water/wastewater sector.
• Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Design management/lead experience.
• Programme and financial management experience.
• Experience across all design stages, from optioneering/FEED to construction support and as‑built.
• Experience in plant commissioning and/or plant operation preferable.
• Chartered engineer status with a relevant professional body preferable.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Full UK driving licence.
