Associate or Associate Director, EIA - Onshore Renewables (UK Wide)
Join WSP as an Associate or Associate Director, EIA - Onshore Renewables (UK Wide).
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major onshore renewable energy projects, supporting the UK's transition to sustainable energy. You will lead environmental assessments, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement for onshore renewables projects such as solar, wind, and battery storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage environmental impact assessments (EIA) and planning applications for onshore renewables projects.
- Provide strategic environmental advice and technical support to clients and project teams.
- Support the development of onshore renewable projects through environmental planning, consent processes, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Contribute to business development, including bid preparation and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in environmental science, planning, or related field; chartered status or working towards it.
- Experience delivering EIAs for onshore renewables projects under UK planning regimes.
- Knowledge of consenting processes, including HRA and planning legislation.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
