Infrastructure Architect

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join a large, well-established technology team supporting critical services within the secure Defence and Government sector. The role sits within a wider group of architects and engineers delivering infrastructure solutions at scale, with a strong focus on Microsoft-centric environments.

This position offers a genuine balance between hands-on technical support and architectural involvement, making it ideal for a senior Wintel professional who enjoys both problem-solving at 3rd/4th line and contributing to infrastructure design.

• Base salary:
  Up to - £70,000 - D.O.E
• Annual bonus: 15%

• Strong background as a Wintel SME, ideally from an infrastructure engineering or architecture-aligned role
• Solid experience across Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including:
  Windows Server, VMware, SQL Server, Microsoft 365 etc
• Proven experience providing 3rd and 4th line support in enterprise environments
• Exposure to infrastructure design, including updating and maintaining High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLDs & LLDs)
• Confidence supporting and evolving existing architectures (ability to design from scratch is beneficial but not essential)
• Eligibility and willingness to hold Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate with wider technical and project teams
