Projects Engineer

We are looking for a Projects Engineer to join the onsite team to effectively assist the delivery of projects. The successful candidate will liaise with contractors, submit permits in the correct format, provide escort duties, arrange isolations, and act as liaison between the project team and the Operations team onsite. All work will be completed safely and in accordance with best practices and JLL standards.

Client screening and vetting will also be required.

• In liaison with the Principal Contractor and Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered safely and within time scales.
• Attend and participate in Project Meetings.
• Adhere to JLL safe System of Works.
• Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and hand over works for plant and user equipment.
• When required, raise and issue a Change Control Notification.
• Initiate and receive Permits to Work in accordance with procedure.
• Where necessary, write and issue Safety Programmes.
• Where necessary, perform required isolations.
• Wear personal protective equipment when conditions require or as specified by the risk assessment, method statement or mandatory signage.
• Provide regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly as required) to the line manager.
• Use strong communication skills to operate systems and prepare reports.
• Assist the JLL Engineering Team in conjunction with the site team and be part of the Shift Team.
• Work additional shifts/hours as required.
• Demonstrate teamwork, hard work, and good interpersonal skills, communicating well in both oral and written reports.
• Be familiar with computer equipment and programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Be physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
• Work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
• Work in other locations at the request of the line manager.

Mon‑Fri 08:00 to 17:00 with lunch break. Out‑of‑hours work will also be required but will be paid at the applicable over‑time rates.

• Electrical: C&G2361 Part 1 & 2 or Electro‑Technical C&G2330 and C&G2382‑10 (20)
• Mechanical:
  Mechanical Engineering C&G2800 Level 3
• Others:
  Issuing Permit to Work (Discipline Dependent), Low Voltage Authorised Persons Course
