Laboratory Engineer, SAR; Absorption Rate

Our recently upgraded SAR Laboratories in Basingstoke are where we test the latest consumer wireless electronic tech for the rate at which energy is absorbed by the human body when exposed to a radio frequency electromagnetic field. We are now hiring for a Laboratory Engineer to join the team, where you’ll get the opportunity to perform hands-on testing, write reports for customers and help the team maintain accreditation standards.

HNC or a Degree in a relevant subject, e.g. Engineering.
1 year to 2 years of hands-on testing experience, either with SAR or equivalent, such as RF (Radio) EMC or other Cellular testing.

Knowledge of some of the following SAR test standards: EN 50360, EN 62311, EN 50566, EN 62209-1/-2/-1528, EN 50383/50385, FCC SAR KDB’s publication, IEEE
1528, RSS 102.Excellent communication skills, both within the organisation and potentially with customers.

Hard-working attitude and a flexible outlook.

Able to work well within a close-knit team, but also happy working independently.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 5% of base salary.
