Brief DescriptionAs a Finance Business Partner, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business, providing proactive, value-adding financial insight and professional accounting advice. Reporting to the Financial Controller or Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll help shape strategic decisions, strengthen governance, and ensure our financial processes support high-quality, forward-looking performance.

About the role (External), helping them understand the impact of period results and forecasts against budgets so they can make informed decisions and better understand their business performance.
, advising budget holders on financial results and forecasts. You’ll prepare period accruals, transfers, and adjustments to ensure accounts are relevant and reflective.
, conducting deep dives and ensuring compliance with financial regulations to protect the business from legal, financial, or reputational risk.
, highlighting key issues in financial and business results to support effective decision-making.
, helping them understand their financial position and providing expert guidance to drive improvements in business performance.
, producing detailed planning that supports strong governance and valuable analysis for senior leaders.
, including assessing financial suitability of new customers or suppliers to minimise risk exposure and influence key decisions.
, ensuring processes and outputs are efficient, effective, and aligned to the needs of your cost centre areas.
, investigating options and providing recommendations to support business decision-making.
, identifying opportunities and efficiencies to support the achievement of area targets and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of business needs and relevant application of accounting standards
- Membership (Or working towards a membership) of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge and experience of creating and maintaining accounts and annual budget
- Significant experience within relevant finance disciplines
- Strong excel skills and use of data manipulation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical accounting regulations into everyday language
- Demonstrable effective influencing skills at a senior level
- Significant understanding of financial control and risk
- Excellent technical finance and accounting knowledge
- Membership of a relevant accounting body
- Experience of Oracle based systems
- Degree or equivalent qualification in finance and accounting or business management or experience
