Tax Analyst

I’m partnering with a world‑renowned, high‑growth organisation to recruit an Indirect Tax Accountant — a rare chance to join a high‑performing global tax function with genuine international reach.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Indirect Tax, you’ll take ownership of UK VAT, global indirect tax obligations, customs oversight and advisory support across multiple regions. You’ll help shape the group’s indirect tax strategy and play a key role in major business initiatives.

• Review UK VAT returns with clear, accurate variance analysis
• Act as the go‑to contact for indirect tax queries
• Oversee UK import/export compliance and reduce operational delays
• Maintain and expand the global indirect tax obligations catalogue
• Strengthen customs compliance and identify efficiency opportunities
• Lead the indirect tax elements of the UK SAO process
• Maintain global process and control documentation
• Implement controls to reduce compliance and financial risk
• Feed indirect tax risks into the Group Tax risk register

• Partner with Finance, Operations and Group Tax to deliver clear, commercial advice
• Support refinancing, M&A, restructurings and operational change
• Assist with tax controversy and authority enquiries
• Identify opportunities to optimise tax reliefs and reduce exposure
• Develop internal training to raise tax awareness across the business

• Indirect tax + customs experience in a multinational or top‑tier firm
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU VAT and US SUT (other jurisdictions a bonus)
• Confident communicator who can influence and partner effectively
• Strategic thinker with strong operational discipline
• Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable juggling priorities
• Collaborative, curious and improvement‑driven
