Experteer Overview As a Financial Accountant within the Insurance Finance team, you will support month-end, financial reporting, and controls to ensure accurate insurance accounts. You'll work with Commercial Finance and external advisers to provide insight and drive governance. The role offers involvement in regulatory returns and five-year planning, with opportunities to improve processes and automation. You will shape how we compile and report financial data in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Pay / Benefits- Support month-end close for the Insurance Division with accurate financial and KPI reporting Prepare monthly financial reports with analysis and commentary on performance, balance sheet, and cash flow Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records, ensuring governance and controls are applied Review balance sheet reconciliations, resolve issues, and take appropriate action Collaborate with Commercial Finance and wider business to challenge results and provide financial insight Support financial control framework, strengthening controls across existing and new systems Produce regulatory returns (RMAR, PSD) and other FCA requirements Contribute to forecasts, budgets, and five-year plans within planning/consolidation systems Drive continuous improvement in processes, seeking automation and standardisation Collaborate with external advisers, auditors and groups for year-end, interim audits and projects Tasks Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), progressing toward qualification Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial application Excellent numerical and analytical skills;
