Job Description & How to Apply Below

High-growth environment | Significant scope for progression

I'm currently working with a high-growth, Private Equity-backed technology business that is looking to appoint a Management Accountant into its expanding finance function.

The business operates internationally across the UK and several European markets and is entering an exciting phase of growth, supported by new investment, a strengthened leadership team and an ambitious organic growth and M&A strategy.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for a Part Qualified, Finalist or recently Qualified Accountant who is looking for broader exposure than a traditional Management Accountant role.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you'll gain exposure across management accounting, financial reporting, cashflow, balance sheet management, controls and process improvement, while working across a multi-entity international environment.

What will you be doing?
  • Take ownership of the month-end close process for a number of international legal entities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting and variance analysis
    .
  • Provide financial insight and commentary to senior stakeholders and Country Managers.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet management, including intercompany, fixed assets, WIP and key reconciliations.
  • Investigate financial variances, trends and areas of risk, providing insight to support decision-making.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in improving the quality and timeliness of management information.
  • Assist with the annual external audit and statutory reporting process.
Finance Operations & Controls
  • Provide oversight across AP, AR and employee expenses.
  • Ensure supplier invoices are appropriately approved and accurately recorded.
  • Oversee payment runs and expense management processes.
  • Manage outsourced payroll providers and ensure accurate processing of joiners, movers and leavers.
  • Calculate and coordinate monthly variable pay / bonus processes.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment across the Group.
Cashflow & Treasury
  • Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts and report on Group cash positions.
  • Support treasury management across multiple international entities.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring balances are accurately maintained and cleared.
  • Complete month-end bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
Process Improvement & Projects
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing finance processes.
  • Support the development of a scalable finance function as the business continues to grow.
  • Work with outsourced finance providers across different jurisdictions.
  • Support the Financial Controller in managing the Group's shared service model.
  • Contribute to wider finance projects, particularly around systems, reporting and process improvement.
What are they looking for?

We're looking for a Part Qualified, Finalist or recently Qualified Accountant who has solid management accounting experience and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be actively progressing towards qualification.
  • Strong management accounting experience, including month-end, P&L, variance analysis and balance sheet management.
  • Experience working across multiple entities or jurisdictions would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a genuine desire to improve processes.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and the ability to take ownership.
Why consider the role?

This is an opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its growth, where you'll have genuine exposure to senior finance leadership, international entities, PE-backed growth, M&A and finance transformation.

You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your career as the finance function continues to grow.
