Job Description Duties will include but not be limited too:
Lead the day-to-day credit control team to keep collections activity proactive and effective. Build positive relationships with customers and internal teams to improve payment performance. Review and analyse aged debt, spotting trends, risks and opportunities to improve cash collection. Ensure that the credit control team resources are effectively applied to maximise cash collection and resolution of issues. Produce regular debt reporting and clear insights for senior management and the Board.

Take ownership of customer disputes and bring in the right people across the business to reach a resolution quickly. Keep clear visibility of disputed balances and make sure agreed actions are followed through. Run the direct debit collection process, including submissions, reconciliations and failed collections. Make sure customer payments are allocated accurately and account queries are resolved promptly. Review and maintain bad debt provisions, making sure they are accurate and supported by clear analysis.

Support cash flow forecasting by providing collection forecasts and updates on significant balances. Improve credit control processes, reporting and controls to make the function more efficient and effective. Support and develop the credit control team, creating a positive and high-performing environment. Make sure collection activity is professional, consistent and in line with company policies. You will have the following skill set:
