An exciting opportunity has arisen for Bank Staff Nurses to join our friendly and enthusiastic nursing teams within Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust. We are currently offering a range of shifts to suit you including weekdays, weekends, earlies, lates, long days and nights.
Main DutiesBecoming a Bank Staff Nurse gives you the opportunity to gain experience within a variety of different clinical areas and specialties working alongside a multi‑disciplinary team of healthcare support workers, doctors, and various other professionals.
Evidence of IV training via certificates is required.

- Provide nursing care across a range of clinical areas and specialties.

- Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills through alternative study or employment experience.
- Professional UK registration (e.g. NMC, HPC).
- Computer literacy.
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD) clearly recorded.
- Completed clinical placements in a variety of areas.
- Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient management, including evidence‑based strategies.
- Experience of clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Understanding of health environment policies and legislation including clinical, HR, E&D, governance.
- Adherence to current statutory requirements, standards and regulations.
- Aware of local and national agenda within the speciality.
- Experience of staff supervision.
- Customer service experience, e.g. dealing with complaints.
- Demonstrate behavior aligned with Trust values.
- Communicate written and verbal information in English, keeping notes legible and accurate.
- Present information clearly and logically, both written and orally.
- Communicate complex, sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
- Understand legal responsibilities of the profession.
- Self‑motivated and able to motivate others.
- Initiative and flexibility.
- Organise, prioritise and delegate effectively.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team and set goals.
