You will help keep the unit running smoothly by managing stock and supplies, supporting housekeeping tasks, and preparing the clinical area ready for patients attending their dialysis treatment. Your main responsibilities include:

Responsibilities
  • Provide general assistance to nursing staff with patient care in the treatment room.
  • Liaise with transport and other departments to arrange appointments.
  • Support the unit routine by escorting patients to the wards, collecting blood specimens and running pharmacy errands.
  • Monitor and record patients’ weights pre- and post dialysis.
  • Prepare and serve patients with refreshments.
  • Prepare the clinical area.
  • Maintain stock and supplies within the treatment areas.
  • Undertake housekeeping duties.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant in our busy dialysis unit. This is a hands‑on, rewarding role in a fast‑paced environment. Whether you have previous experience or are new to healthcare, we will provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Working Hours & Salary

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week. Monday to Saturday on a rolling rota, no Sunday or night shifts. 3 x 11.5‑hour shifts per week plus an additional top‑up shift every month. Salary: £24,465.
