The Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist works as an autonomous practitioner with a caseload of complex patients within a team structure. This is predominantly a community post, covering Basingstoke and surrounding areas, and the acute hospital week‑end rota.

There is access to clinical expertise and oversight to enable the optimal care of our patients 7 days a week. The delivery of a high‑quality, effective and compassionate care is essential to our organisation.

The palliative care service operates over 7 days.

Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.

• Professional UK registration in NMC.
• Additional post‑registration learning in palliative care.

• Evidence of working with palliative care patients.
• Evidence of specialist palliative care skills.

• Must have a UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
