Palliative Care CNS Community

The Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist works as an autonomous practitioner with a caseload of complex patients within a team structure. This is predominantly a community post, covering Basingstoke and surrounding areas, and the acute hospital week‑end rota.

There is access to clinical expertise and oversight to enable the optimal care of our patients 7 days a week. The delivery of a high‑quality, effective and compassionate care is essential to our organisation.

The palliative care service operates over 7 days.

  • Ability to provide symptom management and psychological and social support to patients and families.

Qualifications
  • Professional UK registration in NMC.
  • Additional post‑registration learning in palliative care.
Experience
  • Evidence of working with palliative care patients.
  • Evidence of specialist palliative care skills.
Driving licence and access to car
  • Must have a UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
