Nurse at Homefield House

Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in Homefield House, Basingstoke. You will join a team fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those we provide care for. Homefield House is a specialist care centre providing long and short stay dementia nursing care for the elderly, and is situated in a semi‑rural location at Park Prewett on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The home provides 24 single bedrooms divided into 6 separate self‑contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area.

• Assess patients’ health and care needs and develop care plans
• Administer medication and monitor service users’ response
• Provide nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
• Liaise with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalized care
• Support service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Provide emotional support to service users and their families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Work within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Participate in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members

• NMC registered nurse
• Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia‑related conditions
• Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative

Salary
: £22.39 per hour
