Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in Homefield House, Basingstoke. You will join a team fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those we provide care for. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users that you care for. Homefield House has an excellent reputation as a highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are at the centre of all we do every single day.
Homefield House is a specialist care centre providing long and short stay dementia nursing care for the elderly, and is situated in a semi‑rural location at Park Prewett on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The home provides 24 single bedrooms divided into 6 separate self‑contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients’ health and care needs and develop care plans
- Administer medication and monitor service users’ response
- Provide nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalized care
- Support service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Provide emotional support to service users and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Work within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Participate in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
- NMC registered nurse
- Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia‑related conditions
- Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative

Salary
: £22.39 per hour
