About the role

At Avery Healthcare, we are devoted to supporting the people who care for our residents. Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. You will work alongside a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated team at Pemberley House Care Home in Basingstoke, Hampshire, making a positive impact on residents' lives every day.

• Assisting residents in all aspects of personal hygiene to maintain optimum independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infections, and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Initiative, respectfulness towards residents and colleagues, and an efficient working style.
• Adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

• A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• Compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 for Disclosure.
