Senior Pharmacist Oncology

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead and develop clinical pharmacy services for Haematology and Oncology, providing expert medicines information and tailoring recommendations to patients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to optimise therapies, supervise a small pharmacy team, and drive service improvements and non-medical prescribing within the specialties. The role combines clinical, strategic and educational duties and offers development opportunities in a busy, patient-centred environment.

• Provide highly specialist clinical and scientific medicines information and tailored recommendations to staff, patients and carers Clini cally screen regimens ahead of supply or dispensing by Pharmacy Aseptics and/or Outpatient service Provide strategic oversight of service development, training plans, technologies, and cost-saving initiatives Monitor and review oncology/haematology drug therapies for appropriateness and policy compliance Line-manage a small team and support professional development Support development of non-medical prescribing within oncology/haematology Offer high-level pharmaceutical advice to consultants, doctors, nurses and other professionals Monitor, report and manage medication errors in line with Trust processes Collaborate with cancer care teams to enhance medicines optimisation Tasks Postgraduate Diploma qualification BOPA trained pharmacist Experience in managing a team Current UK professional registration Desirable: experience reviewing new medicines, experience in risk management Essential: ability to provide high-level pharmaceutical advice across professional groups Key requirements accommodation may be offered
