Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry - Basingstoke

Job Title:Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry
Grade:Consultant
Location:Basingstoke, Hampshire
Working Hours:40 hours per week
Rate:Competitive — details to be discussed upon application

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert psychiatric care for older adults in a variety of clinical settings
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
  • Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development
  • Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff
  • Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation
Qualifications & Experience
  • Full GMC registration
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician (AC) status
  • Extensive experience in Old Age Psychiatry
  • Proven experience in a consultant-level role
