Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner

In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England. Due to a long term expansion plan, we currently have a number of opportunities across Hampshire to recruit to this exciting role.

Successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term 1 year full-time with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and based across various locations within Hampshire where we are recruiting to new Mental Health Support teams to deliver mental health support a cross a range of educational settings in the region.

• Mid North :
  Basingstoke, Hook and Odiham, Alton and Petersfield, Andover and Winchester
• West:
  Eastleigh, Romsey and District and New Forest
• South East:
  Fareham, Havant and Gosport
• Southampton City

As part of this role there will be a requirement to travel to Southampton University for the academic training required for this post and travel to various sites in Hampshire.
