Senior Technician - French Speaker

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity for a multilingual IT Support Technician fluent in French and English, supporting the expanding Home Service Group business across the UK and France. The role provides high‑quality support to public‑facing customer service teams and fast‑moving distribution centres, both onsite and remote, delivering first and second level IT support and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in both countries.

• Collaborate with technical teams in the UK, US, and France to maximize technical effectiveness.
• Act as an effective team member/leader; communicate clearly across technical and business teams and own issues to resolution or hand them over for continuity.
• Support and maintain IT infrastructure at all HSG sites in the UK and France, ensuring minimal disruption to day‑to‑day operations.
• Assist and support Amcare/HSG service desk functions, providing prompt and friendly support to all end‑users.
• Provide application support to users, collaborate with suppliers and wider teams to optimise application use, and ensure maximum effectiveness of business applications.
• Lead and support HSG technical incident management, liaising with suppliers and wider teams to resolve incidents rapidly.
• Demonstrate effective communication and documentation at all business levels.
• Support the development, implementation, and testing of technical projects.
• Maintain governance, quality and control in all areas and participate in change and project management processes.
• Prioritise security, privacy and data protection, supporting investigations and recommendations with management and security teams.
• Proactively maintain personal skills and knowledge for ongoing development.

• Minimum 3 years of IT support experience in large office and/or warehouse environments.
• Demonstrable technological and IT experience across network and infrastructure, including cabling, routing, Wi‑Fi, and security.
• Experience in network configuration and management, and servers (setup, management, and security).
• Fluent in speaking and communicating in English and French.
• A wide‑ranging knowledge of information and communication technologies.
• Experience with Windows devices (laptops and desktops), multi‑function printers, document scanners, and phone/mobile device setup and MDM.
• Experience with software installation, validation, and application management (Microsoft applications, Talkdesk, etc.).
• Awareness of distribution centre hardware (digital scanners, barcode printers, work‑bench printers, cutting systems) and maintenance of a range of hardware devices.
• First‑line support via phone/email and second‑line support with problem escalation and recording, documentation, and reporting.
• Asset management/control and experience of warehouse and distribution centre systems (desirable).
• Experience of public‑facing contact centres (desirable). People/service focused.

• Degree (or equivalent) in an ICT‑related discipline.
• Demonstrated understanding of best practice frameworks such as ITIL, Change Management, and Service Delivery.
• Fluency in speaking and communicating in English and French.
