Data Analytics & AI Solutions Group Leader

The Data and AI Solutions Group Lead is responsible for leading and developing one or more globally distributed teams of Data and AI professionals focused on delivering innovative solutions that create business value across UL Solutions.

This is a remote leadership opportunity that can be based in Ireland, UK, Spain, Netherlands or Poland. The role oversees team members across multiple geographic regions and time zones, including the Americas and Europe.

As a people-first leader, you will be accountable for building high-performing teams, developing talent, fostering a culture of trust and accountability, and enabling teams to operate with a high degree of autonomy. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into practical delivery outcomes while ensuring teams continue to grow in capability, maturity, and impact.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership experience with a solid understanding of Data, AI, and software delivery practices, and has a proven ability to develop people, align stakeholders, and drive sustainable team performance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Proven experience leading and developing technical teams within Data, AI, Machine Learning, Analytics, or Software Engineering environments.

Demonstrated success managing people, coaching team members, and building high-performing teams.

Experience leading teams operating in Agile, Lean, or comparable delivery frameworks.

Experience delivering Data and AI solutions in production environments.

Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.

Ability to lead geographically distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.

Experience establishing delivery processes, tracking performance metrics, and driving operational improvements.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance technical, business, and people considerations.

Experience working with data platforms, machine learning workflows, and modern software development practices.

Experience with Document Intelligence, AI-powered automation, Agentic AI solutions, Dev Ops, MLOps, and Responsible AI practices.

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience leading managers, team leads, or highly autonomous technical teams.

Experience scaling organizations through periods of growth and organizational transformation.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience working within globally distributed organizations and collaborating with international stakeholders.
