DV Cleared DevSecOps Engineer

Job Title: DV Cleared Dev Sec Ops  Engineer
Location: Basingstoke (Onsite)
Rate: Up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company
Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension
Security Clearance: Active DV Clearance required

We are seeking a Dev Sec Ops  Lead Engineer to join a high profile programme, reporting into (and supporting) the Dev Sec Ops  Tech Lead.

The role will own significant parts of the solution, develop automation scripts, write Build Automation scripts (Ansible) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and configure and build CI/CD pipelines. You will advise on the use of Dev Ops Tooling, best practices and secure engineering processes, whilst working with the Dev Ops delivery team to understand roadmap and processes.

Working closely with the Dev Sec Ops  Tech Lead (MSL), Managed Service Teams and Engineering Process Lead, you will drive the usage and implementation of Dev Ops tooling to facilitate secure build and test automation

You will develop and document re-usable automation scripts and IaC artefacts to assist various teams on the project in their deliveries, whilst acting as an evangelist and advisor on the use of Dev Ops tools and Automation technologies

• Responsible for the significant aspects of the technical implementation, delivery and assurance of the Dev Sec Ops  tooling, associated processed and ways of working
• Leading Technical Implementation and design activities, making Design decisions and assessing options
• Advising on use of Dev Sec Ops  technologies and processes, to senior customers
• Works with Dev Sec Ops  Tech Lead (MSL), Product Owners and Scrum Master to define/prioritise work and raise Risks/Dependencies
• Works with Dev Sec Ops  Tech Lead (MSL) to ensure the Dev Sec Ops  implementation satisfies its requirements and ensuring it aligns to the Business Outcomes and security needs
• Mentoring junior engineers and making implementation decisions
• Contribution to Planning the work for the team
• Reporting on progress and tracking this with Solution Owner
• Defines Support Approach working with Service/Support Team
• Engages with other teams on the usage of the tooling and dependency management

• Leading engineers to drive Scrum teams' adoption of the Dev Ops toolchain
• Development of automation scripts
• Writing Build Automation scripts (Ansible)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Configuring and building CI/CD pipelines
• Advising on use of Dev Ops Tooling, best practices and secure engineering processes
• Working with Dev Ops delivery teams to understand roadmap and processes
• Working with customers to ensure that Dev Ops adoption is aligned to Engineering process
• Experienced at working in an Agile, sprint-based lifecycle
• Experienced with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Developing and documenting re-usable automation scripts and IaC artefacts
• Driving the usage and implementation of Dev Ops tooling to facilitate secure build and test automation
• Acting as an evangelist and advisor on the use of Dev Ops tools and Automation technologies
