Supply Chain Solutions, Electronic Manufacturing Solutions and Specialist Components – Frequency Control Products. Together, our combined strengths align with our group strategy to provide an end-to-end supply chain and electronics manufacturing service to a global technology marketplace.
We are seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator. The role supports the inventory site of goods and materials and will coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure goods and materials are delivered on time.
Responsibilities- Works Order management of sub-contract works orders
- Confer with department Managers to determine overdue work and to inform production planners of material status
- Contact suppliers by phone and email to chase shortages
- Contact suppliers by phone and email to expedite outstanding Purchase Orders
- Contact suppliers by phone and email to ensure Purchase Orders are to schedule
- Keeping track of shipments and movement of material, providing regular updates to key stakeholders as to the progress of parts.
- Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure schedules are maintained
- Manage purchasing/finance queries.
- Provide cover for Supply Chain Administrator
- Assist Group SC Director, Procurement Manager and Buyers with administrative tasks
- Previous experience as Materials Controller is preferred
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Good understanding or previous experience of ERP or similar.
- IT skills, advanced excel capability and reporting skills are an advantage.
- Have a high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
