Our client is a well‑established and growing manufacturer based in the Basingstoke area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join an expanding and successful business. The successful candidate will be joining a small purchasing team and will have the opportunity to further develop their career with an expanding and successful business.

• Researching and identifying potential suppliers
• Comparing and evaluating supplier quotations to ensure best value and suitability
• Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements
• Tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
• Reviewing the quality and suitability of purchased goods
• Entering supplier information, pricing, and stock details into the ERP system and maintaining accurate purchasing records
• Preparing cost analysis and procurement reports
• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders based on ERP‑driven demand
• Contributing to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies
• Assessing supply‑chain risks and supporting mitigation planning
• Working as part of a small purchasing team, supporting shared objectives and operational continuity

• Proven purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Confident user of MS Office and ERP/MRP software such as Order Wise, Sage, SAP, or similar
• Ability to understand technical drawings, manufacturing processes, and engineering
• Based in a commutable distance of Basingstoke
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal

• Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum
• 5 hours per week, Mon–Fri 9am–5pm
• 30 days holiday, including bank holidays, increasing with tenure
