MET Technician

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced MET Technician to join our client’s reputable independent bodyshop in Basingstoke. • Up to £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• OTE not specified, with potential for additional earnings through overtime
• Monday to Friday working hours: 7:30am – 4:45pm
• Optional overtime on Saturdays paid at time and a half
• 20 days holiday plus 1 extra day per year, up to 25 days

• Carry out all mechanical and bodywork repairs on assigned vehicles
• Dismantling, fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs
• Reassemble vehicles using new or reconditioned parts as required
• Perform inspections and testing to ensure vehicle safety and quality standards
• Identify faults or additional work needed, especially from a safety perspective
• Conduct road tests in a safe and legal manner to verify vehicle roadworthiness
• Maintain high quality standards throughout all repair processes

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a MET Technician
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively
• ATA qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
• Familiarity with all mechanical and electrical systems
