Job Title: Cover / Mobile Cleaner

Location: Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England, RG214AH

• Contract type: Permanent
• Employment type: Part‑time (10–30 hours per week, depending on business needs)
• Pay rate: From £12.71 per hour
• Shift coverage: Monday to Sunday, including weekends and mid‑week cover shifts

• Maintain all cleaning public toilets, equipment and surrounding areas in a clean, well‑maintained and safe condition.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Health & Safety regulations.
• Execute daily cleaning at a primary site (5 hours/day) and mobile cleaning at various public conveniences across Basingstoke and surrounding areas.
• Plan cleaning activities according to optimal hours and select appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and actively seek ways to improve client satisfaction.

• Must hold a clean UK Driving Licence and have access to a company pool vehicle.
• Ability to work set and flexible hours, including day, evening and weekend shifts.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
• Strong organisational and proactive work ethic.
• Compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.

Hours may be split into 5‑ to 8‑hour shifts. Availability for morning, daytime or evening shifts is essential.

All required cleaning and operational training will be completed independently. Regular collaboration with the team is required, but the role also demands independence when necessary.
