Controls Technician

• Commission, program, set up graphics and communications links, perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot and service assigned projects
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close-out requirements
• Act as the direct customer contact for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects
• Identify, diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
• Maintain and enhance knowledge of Trane products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair of direct digital control systems
• Use software, technology and hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units within systems
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Sales and Operations teams to share customer insights
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders
• Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional customer service
• Coordinate with local field service representatives, regional service leaders, senior technicians and customers on updates and continuous improvement
• Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets
• Support Trane UK Ltd customers across commercial healthcare, process manufacturing, education and office buildings
• Commission, troubleshoot, repair and start up HVAC systems

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences
• Effective communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in using Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry an advantage
• People and communication skills with a positive mindset
• Able to work with minimal supervision and be a good team player
• Able to cover standby and call outs on a planned scheduled basis, including weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, with travel and overnight stays
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
• UK Drivers license as a company vehicle will be allocated
• Right to Work status confirmed for Country of application
