Our client, a fast growing accountancy and professional services firm is looking to hire an Outsourcing Senior Manager to lead the development of a centralised service in response to Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTD IT). You will then transition the project into business as usual at scale.

This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a centralised service to manage MTD IT quarterly reporting.
  • Design workflows, team structures, and digital processes to support delivery.
  • Work with partners to define service scope, client segmentation, and rollout plans.
  • Develop tiered pricing structures and quoting templates.
  • Monitor profitability and client lifetime value.
  • Lead client communication and onboarding to the new service model.
  • Manage onboarding from data collection and software setup through to first submissions.
  • Promote adoption of digital record-keeping tools, primarily Xero and Landmark.
  • Lead migration from manual and legacy systems to compliant digital solutions.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and deliver team training.
  • Work with software vendors to integrate tools and manage costs.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the service delivery team.
  • Implement dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting.
  • Ensure strong processes for MTD final declarations, aligning quarterly submissions with year-end adjustments.
  • Establish reconciliation procedures between digital records and final tax positions.
  • Work closely with the Tax Team to review data throughout the year.
  • Coordinate final submissions to HMR.
About you
  • Good knowledge of MTD IT, or experience building new services in a regulated environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including pricing and margin management.
  • Experience in process design, systems implementation, and team leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and with clients.
  • Experience in service design and pricing.
  • Experience with client onboarding and digital transformation.
  • The ability to take a project from initial setup through to business‑as‑usual delivery.
