Job Overview

We're looking for a Contract Manager to join our Building Solutions team based in Salisbury and Portsmouth, with a 40‑hour week. This role focuses on delivering projects valued up to £10 m in secure environments, starting site‑based and evolving to account management as client partnerships expand. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship.

Responsibilities

As a Contract Manager, your day‑to‑day activities include:

  • Leading and overseeing project delivery, ensuring operational and commercial goals are met.
  • Managing projects from pre‑commencement to completion, delivering on time, on budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Implementing health and safety policies, ensuring all employees and subcontractors comply.
  • Acting as the client’s first point of contact, developing excellent relationships and identifying ongoing opportunities.
  • Mentoring and supporting site teams, sharing knowledge to help others develop their skills.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has significant experience leading delivery on construction projects, ideally within secure environments.
  • Possesses a relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree level or equivalent) and professional memberships such as CIOB.
  • Has expert knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions, with demonstrable experience managing project budgets and programmes.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain the necessary clearances:
    British passport required, Enhanced DBS minimum, SC Clearance advantageous.
