We have an outstanding opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join us within the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE), a long-term collaborative delivery partnership transforming how rail infrastructure projects are delivered.

This role sits within the Buildings Portfolio, which delivers a diverse range of projects across the Southern region, including; station buildings, platform construction, upgrades and extensions, canopies, Footbridges, M&E works and associated railway building and infrastructure improvements.

The highly collaborative nature of the SRE creates a unique opportunity for a commercially minded individual who thrives in a partnership environment and can build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders.

As Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial leadership across the Buildings Portfolio, ensuring projects are commercially robust, risks are effectively managed and opportunities are maximised.

This role can be based from either of our offices in Basingstoke, Blackfriars or Gravesend, although regular attendance at key meetings in Blackfriars will be required.

We are looking for a commercially astute leader with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for developing high performing teams.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in a senior commercial role within rail, infrastructure, construction or a related sector.
• Experience with in a Framework/Portfolio environment would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual management expertise.
• Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, supply chain partners and project teams.
• Strong commercial reporting, forecasting, risk management and change management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence, challenge and drive continuous improvement across a programme of works.
