Salary: Competitive / £28,000 Fantastic Benefits

Compressed hours - Monday to Thursday 7.30-5pm

Orion is proud to be supporting Tech Point , one of the UKs largest independently owned electronics and components manufacturers, in their search for a PCB Assembler to join the team at their brand-new, world-class facility in Basingstoke.

If you enjoy working in a clean, modern environment with high-spec equipment, and want to be involved in producing electronics for exciting sectors such as defence, space, and motor sport this is the opportunity for you.

• Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 &
  3)
• Using X-Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints
• Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures
• Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines
• Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately
• Using the companys computer-based system to record production notes and log time
• Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards

• Desirable Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards
• Essential Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
• Essential Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
• Essential Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
• Desirable Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment

• £28,000 per annum
