Electrical Machine Build & Wiring Engineer
Basingstoke | £40,000 - £45,000 | Monday-Friday Days
Are you an electrically biased engineer who enjoys building, wiring and integrating industrial machinery?
We're recruiting for a well-established manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machinery, supplying customers across a wide range of manufacturing industries. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an Electrical Machine Build & Wiring Engineer to join our workshop team in Basingstoke.
This is predominantly a factory-based role where you'll be involved in building, wiring, testing and commissioning specialist packaging machinery before it leaves the factory. You'll also play an important role in integrating machinery into automated production lines by installing control circuits, photocells, relays and signal wiring.
This isn't domestic or commercial electrical work—we're looking for someone who understands industrial machinery and machine controls.
What you'll be doing
* Wiring and commissioning industrial packaging machinery
* Integrating machines into automated production lines
* Installing and wiring photocells, relays, switches and control circuits
* Machine fault finding and refurbishment
* Supporting bespoke machine modifications and development projects
* Occasional customer visits for installation, commissioning or technical support (using a company pool vehicle)
We're looking for someone with experience of:
* Industrial electrical wiring
* Machine building or machinery assembly
* Control circuits and relay logic
* Reading electrical schematics
* Machine fault finding
* Electrical integration of production equipment
Experience with PLCs would be beneficial but is not essential.
Salary & Benefits
* £40,000-£45,000
* Monday-Friday days (8:30am-4:30pm)
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
