Are you an experienced Production Manager with a background in electronics manufacturing looking to take ownership of a busy production operation?
The CompanyWe're working with a well-established electronics manufacturer that designs and produces bespoke electronic systems for customers across the Automotive, Rail, Aerospace, Military, Electric/Hybrid Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle sectors. Known for delivering high-quality products and building long-term customer relationships, they are looking to add a Production Manager to their Basingstoke team.
As a Production Manager, you'll join a collaborative business where continuous improvement is encouraged, quality is paramount, and you'll play a key role in driving manufacturing performance and team development.
Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily production activities to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating manufacturing operations and resources effectively
- Managing and developing production teams while promoting a culture of safety, accountability and collaboration
- Working closely with engineering, quality and supply chain teams to optimise manufacturing processes and resolve production issues
- Monitoring performance metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives and supporting strategic production planning

Key RequirementsTo be considered for this Production Manager role, you will need:
- Previous Production Manager experience within electronics manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Surface Mount and Conventional Assembly processes, with a hands-on approach
- Experience leading production teams and driving operational performance
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience using ERP or manufacturing systems alongside production reporting and data analysis
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
As the new Production Manager, you can expect:
- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
- Location:
Basingstoke - Hours:
8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm Friday - Early finish every Friday
