We’re supporting a product-led manufacturer as they expand their Product Development & Testing team and are looking to hire a Testing & Development Technician
.

This is a hands-on, onsite role suited to someone who enjoys working with physical products, testing data, and practical problem-solving
. You’ll be involved in testing both existing and new products, supporting quality activities, and generating data-driven insights that feed directly into product decisions.

🧪 What you’ll be doing
  • Carrying out qualitative and quantitative testing on physical products
  • Measuring performance over time and analysing results
  • Using Excel to calculate percentages, variances, and trends, and create basic graphs
  • Writing clear test reports with conclusions and recommendations
  • Supporting quality assurance and incoming product checks
  • Managing product samples, including reference (“golden”) samples
  • Testing competitor products and supporting comparative analysis
  • Assisting with 3D printing and prototyping activities
  • Supporting general testing area organisation and upkeep

The role is varied and practical — flexibility and a willingness to learn are key.

  • Hands‑on experience in testing, quality, laboratory, or product environments
  • Comfortable working with numbers and data (basic maths and Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation
  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly
  • Curious, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions or suggest improvements
