About the CompanyThis established Fire & Security business delivers tailored solutions across the South Coast, London, and surrounding counties.
Known for their collaborative approach, technical expertise, and high standards of customer service, they have built long-standing B2B relationships, with many clients remaining with them for more than 20 years.
The sales team culture is supportive, professional, and focused on doing things properly. They are passionate about helping customers protect their people, premises, and operations by ensuring the right fire and security systems are in place.
The BDM RoleThis is a proactive, client-facing position focused on developing service and project opportunities across both existing and new clients.
You’ll manage the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities to ongoing account development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Growing service and maintenance contracts within an existing client base
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities through outbound activity, referrals, and relationship building
- Conducting site visits with engineers and developing tailored fire & security solutions
- Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as a consultative partner
- Managing incoming enquiries, upgrade opportunities, and sales follow-up activity
- Maintaining accurate pipeline activity and forecasts through the CRM system
- Managing your own diary, appointments, follow-ups, and sales activity to achieve targets
- Promoting the company’s reputation for service, reliability, and long-term partnership
You’ll be a commercially minded who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience with in Fire & Security or a related technical services sector such as HVAC, lifts, engineering services, facilities or building maintenance
- Proven success in sales, business development, or account management
- A consultative and solutions-focused approach in a B2B environment
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and prioritise effectively
- Confidence working independently while remaining collaborative with internal technical team
- Field-based predominately across the M3 / M4 corridor
- Salary Circa £35,000 with easily achievable OTE of £50,000 pa
- Guaranteed commission for the first 6 months whilst you build up your pipeline
