We’re recruiting a Business Development Manager to join a leading food service business. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to take ownership of key accounts, win new business and secure major contracts within a well-established organisation.
The role is a 50/50 split between account management and new business developmentoffering the opportunity to grow existing relationships while identifying and winning significant new business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow existing food service accounts while developing new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with major purchasing groups and GPOs, including Consortium, Avendra and Integra.
- Identify, negotiate and secure large-scale contracts and supply agreements.
- Sell the full product range into hospitals, colleges, universities, contract caterers and food service networks.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and procurement teams.
- Deliver sales growth and achieve commercial targets.
- Proven sales experience within food service, catering, wholesale or FMCG.
- Strong account management and new business development skills.
- Experience working with GPOs, purchasing consortiums or major contracts.
- Confident negotiating with senior decision-makers.
- Commercially driven, proactive and results-focused.
- Full UK driving licence.
- £55,000 OTE plus an excellent benefits package including £7000 car allowance
- 33 days’ holiday including bank holidays, with the option to buy additional days.
