Homeless Prevention Officer needed in Basingstoke, £19.65ph
PAYE – OR110861
You will ideally have working knowledge of Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
A typical day working in our Homelessness Prevention Team will involve managing a caseload, using a person-centred approach to undertake detailed housing options and support needs assessments and take actions to prevent homelessness and making statutory homeless determinations under the HRA.
Primarily you will work alongside those at risk of homelessness and collaborate with internal and external partners including accommodation providers and community safety teams.
In addition to your existing experience and skills, you will apply a trauma informed approach to provide an effective homelessness prevention service for individuals and families, many of whom have multiple and complex vulnerabilities.
You will also ideally have working knowledge of using the JIGSAW system for case management.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis
