HGV 2 driver

Overview

This role involves working as an HGV 2 driver in Basingstoke, operating as part of a two‑person crew to deliver goods directly to customers’ homes. The position requires a customer‑focused approach, with responsibilities including multi‑drop deliveries and manual handling of items. Shifts start at 06:00, five days per week on a rota basis. The contract offers an hourly rate between £17.70 and £26.55, with overtime available and weekly pay.

Full training is provided, and the role has temp‑to‑perm potential. Applicants should hold a valid Class 2 licence and be comfortable with the physical demands of the job. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.

• Full UK Class2 (CatC) Driving Licence (max 6 points – speeding only)
• Valid CPC and Tacho Card
• 21+ years old (insurance purposes)
• Ability to pass a driving and theory assessment
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills
• A positive, can‑do attitude and good team spirit
