£13.16 per hour

Tuesday to Saturday, 08:30 – 16:30 (Saturday paid at time and a half)

Hampshire County Council is looking for a delivery driver to work within the equipment services department. Hampshire equipment services deliver and install equipment such as beds and chairs into homes for people who require it. In this particular role you will be delivering beds across Hampshire with the main depot based in Basingstoke.

• Manual handling of equipment (parts up to 20kg)
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
• Assist with loading and unloading the van
• Drive a van to and from locations in Hampshire, completing on average 10–15 drops per day

• Valid Driving Licence
• Strong communication skills
• Previous van driving experience preferred but not essential
• Ability to lift goods up to 20kg and load onto and off the delivery van
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

A vehicle is provided and petrol costs will be covered. A safe and secure space to park the van outside of work is required; the van may not be used for personal use. Van use for commuting to and from the warehouse is allowed.
