Cat C+E Driver (Casual Days/Hours) – Basingstoke, GB

Driver Hire Basingstoke and Newbury are looking to recruit Cat C+E Drivers to support local clients in Basingstoke, Newbury, Thatcham, Hook and Hungerford. The work varies from client to client – building merchants, accident repair centres, supermarkets, and occasional Temp to Perm opportunities. Days are flexible, generally Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out designated duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Be reliable, polite, and friendly.
• Provide excellent customer service as the face of Driver Hire.
• Plan routes and use a Sat Nav system.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full UK Driving Licence, with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Current Drivers Card and Drivers Qualification Card.
• Over the age of 21, with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Previous commercial driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Desirable: current DBS check.
• Verifiable references.

HOURS, PAY & BENEFITS

• £18.40 – £32.96 per hour – Monday to Friday, with enhanced rates for weekend work.
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day (full day) or 4 hours (half day).
• Flexible working days to suit you.
• Paid weekly in arrears.
